Apple Caramel Whiskey Sour

Makes 1 cocktail

  • 2 oz rye whiskey or bourbon

  • 1 T lemon juice

  • 3 oz apple cider (or apple juice)

  • 1 T caramel sauce, homemade or purchased

  • Green apple slices, for garnish

To sugar rim:

  • A little extra caramel

  • 1-2 T sugar

I like to sugar the rims of my glasses. With a clean finger, run a thin layer of caramel around the edge of the glass. Place sugar on a plate and roll edge through sugar to adhere.

Fill a cocktail shaker half full of ice. Add whisky, lemon juice, cider, and caramel sauce. Shake 20 seconds until cold. Strain into prepared glass filled with ice.
