Honeydew Margarita
Honeydew Juice:
1⁄2 a honeydew
For salted rims:
Lime wedges
Kosher salt
Chili powder (optional)
Recipe for 1 cocktail:
2 oz honeydew juice
1 1⁄2 oz tequila 1 oz lime juice
1⁄2 t simple syrup or agave (optional)
To prepare honeydew juice, remove seeds from the honeydew and place flesh in a blender. Pulse until smooth.
Salt the rims of the glasses by placing salt and chili powder on a plate. Wet rims of glasses by running a lime wedge around the edge. Roll rims through the salt and chili. Set aside.
Add honeydew juice, tequila, and lime juice to a cocktail shaker half filled with ice. Shake vigorously for 20 seconds. Taste for sweetness, depending on how sweet your fruit is, and add if desired. Strain into glass filled with ice.
