Mexican Razor Blade

  • 2 slices cucumber

  • 2 oz mezcal

  • 1 oz lime juice

  • 3⁄4 oz simple syrup

  • 1 slice cucumber, for garnish

  • Cayenne pepper, for garnish

Add cucumber, mezcal, lime juice, and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker. Muddle to release cucumber juices. Add ice, shake vigorously for 20 seconds. Strain into a glass (salt the rim if desired). Garnish by floating a cucumber slice on top and sprinkling with a small amount of cayenne pepper.
