Tequila Rosemary Old Fashioned

Trade whiskey for aged tequila, with the added herbaceousness of rosemary.

  • 3 oz Añejo tequila

  • 3⁄4 oz rosemary simple syrup (recipe below)

  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters

  • 4 dashes orange bitters

  • Orange twist and rosemary sprig for garnish

Add ingredients to a mixing glass and add ice. Stir until chilled then strain into a rocks glass with ice. Express oils in a piece of orange peel and drop into glass for garnish. Stir with a sprig of rosemary.

Rosemary Simple Syrup

  • 1⁄4 c granulated sugar

  • 1⁄4 c water

  • 2 sprigs rosemary

Add sugar, water, and rosemary to a small saucepan and heat over medium high heat. Simmer

until sugar is dissolved and remove from heat. Let steep 15 minutes to allow syrup to absorb

rosemary oils. Strain. Store refrigerated for up to a month.
