Overnight Protein Oats

Overnight Protein Oats
Overnight oats with the addition of protein powder will keep you powered up all morning and beyond.
1⁄2 c old-fashioned oats
2 scoops protein powder, or 20-25g (I use Vital Proteins)
1⁄2 c dried cherries, or any dried fruit
1 T chia seeds
1⁄4 t cinnamon and/or 1⁄2 t vanilla (optional)
Pinch kosher salt
1 c almond milk, or any milk
Maple syrup, or honey, to taste (optional)
1⁄4 c mixed berries
2 T sliced almonds, or other nuts
Layer oats, protein powder, cherries, chia seeds, cinnamon, and salt in a pint mason jar. Add almond milk, seal tightly and refrigerate overnight.
Uncover, stir, and add maple syrup if desired. Top with berries and almonds.
