Makes 1 drink

Butterscotch Hot Toddy Cocktail

Warm up this holiday season with a buttery version of the traditional hot toddy.

  • 1 1⁄2 c water

  • Whole cloves, star anise, nutmeg, cinnamon sticks (optional)

  • 1 chamomile tea bag (optional)

  • 2-4 T honey (depends on sweetness desired)

  • 1 T Buttershots

  • 2 oz whiskey or bourbon

  • Juice from 1 lemon

  • Lemon wheel for garnish

Bring water and spices, if using, to a boil in a small saucepan. Lower heat and let simmer 3 minutes. Add in the honey and tea bag, if using, and stir to dissolve. Remove from the heat and add the Buttershots and whiskey. Squeeze in lemon juice and stir. Strain warm mixture into a cup or glass. Garnish with a lemon wheel.
